Design study

The idea, in context.

A practical room can still feel restorative. A level-access shower, built-in seat and clear floor space reduce visual clutter and make everyday routines more comfortable. The vanity gathers towels and small items in one place, while a high window brings privacy and soft daylight. Warm porcelain surfaces and oak joinery create continuity without requiring the whole room to be finished in natural stone.

Designed around the brief.

01

Make room to move

Keep the route between the entrance, basin and shower clear, with fittings chosen around the user's needs.

02

Put details within reach

A shower seat, hand shower and well-positioned storage can make the room easier to use at different stages of life.

03

Resolve the hidden work

Drainage falls, waterproofing, ventilation and electrical zones need to be coordinated before finishes are ordered.
